Spurring Award-Recognition Nominations

BizEventz, Inc. has conceived, developed, and produced corporate events for three decades, including award-recognition programs for area businesses. Attendance at the events varies from 100 to 3,000. The events company was struggling to generate additional nominations to its Family Business Awards program, the key to attracting a large, targeted audience. BizEventz partnered with Digital Reach Program (DRP) to develop a marketing strategy focused on driving more nominees.

THE PROBLEM

How could DRP both encourage the existing base of those nominating businesses and attract a new group of nominators in order to meet the required attendance goal?

THE SOLUTION

DRP reviewed BizEventz’s database of nominators/nominees to identify nominating patterns, such as industry, age, location, and platform-promotion responses. Most of the historical engagement for this program came from Facebook, which led us to concentrate on Facebook advertising while simultaneously testing other digital platforms. The target audience was a profile we developed both from historical information and from compiling new data to expand the profile. Our conversion strategy drove the targeted traffic directly to the nomination form.
